Archaeologists Find 6-Foot Chinese Coin
Archaeologists in the southwestern province of Yunnan have dug up an antique coin measuring more than 6 feet around - and weighing a pocket-busting 91 pounds, the official Xinhua News Agency said Friday.
The coin, the largest ever found in China, was issued during the 1522-1566 reign of Emperor Jiajing of the Ming Dynasty, Xinhua said.
Archaeologists said the coin was cast at a smelter in Yunnan’s Huize Country.
