Hextall Back In Net

Detroit Philadelphia Flyers goaltender Ron Hextall will return to the team’s net for Game 3 of the Stanley Cup finals after Garth Snow started Tuesday’s loss, coach Terry Murray said.

Murray will stick with Hextall, who was benched after allowing a key goal on a long shot by Detroit Red Wings center Steve Yzerman in Game 1, for the remainder of the best-of-seven series.

The decision continues an on-going goaltending struggle for the Flyers, who are two losses away from being eliminated in their first Stanley Cup finals appearance since 1987.
