Lakeland Wins Idaho Baseball Championship

Paced by undefeated Kurt Reese’s four-hitter, Lakeland defeated Moscow 3-2 Saturday to win its second straight Idaho State A-2 baseball championship at Meridian, Idaho.

In other highlights of Idaho state championships Saturday:

Defending champion Boise defeated Coeur d’Alene 11-1 in the A-1 baseball championship game at Boise.

Bishop Kelly defeated Moscow 3-2 in the A-2 girls fastpitch championship game at Coeur d’Alene. Lakeland placed third.

At Boise State University, Caleb Bowman of Sandpoint won the A-1 200-meter championship (22.27 seconds) and Annie Goodson of Kootenai won the A-1 girls 400 meters (1:00.5) after losing the high jump title on misses (5 feet, 2 inches).
