Marriage Seminar Planned At Assembly Of God
A marriage seminar will be offered at the Valley Assembly of God Church, both for couples who are having problems in their marriage and for those who want to avoid difficulties.
The seminar will be at the church, 15618 E. Broadway, from 7 to 9:30 p.m. on Friday and from 9:30 a.m. to noon on Saturday.
The seminar will help participants understand how they interact with others, including their spouse.
Phil Altmeier, director of the Union Gospel Mission, will speak.

Church barbecue Wednesday
The Spokane Valley Church of the Nazarene, 10814 E. Broadway, will host an all-church barbecue on Wednesday. The menu includes hot dogs, chips, and pop. The money raised during the event will be used for this year’s mission project.
Dinner will be served from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The cost is $1.50 for the meal and additional hot dogs can be purchased for $1 each. For more information, call the church at 926-1545.
Rummage sale Friday, Saturday
Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 810 S. Sullivan Road, will host a rummage sale Friday and Saturday. The rummage sale will run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday. Some unique handmade birdhouses also will be available for purchase.
Vacation Bible school
Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2511 S. Pines, is offering vacation Bible school June 23-27. This year’s theme is “Let’s Follow Jesus” and the weeklong program will include stories, skits, music, and crafts.
The Bible school is open to all children from age 4 through the sixth grade. School will be held at the church from 9 to 11:30 a.m. daily.
The cost of the Bible school is $7 per child and parents are asked to register their children early as space is limited. To register or for more information, call the church at 926-7966.
