Mom’s, Daughter’s Bodies Found

From Staff And Wire Reports

The bodies of a 19-year-old woman and her infant daughter were found Tuesday about two miles from where their car was found Nov. 3, Deschutes County sheriff’s deputies said.

Jessica Dawn Wilson and her 16-month-old daughter, Ashantae Michelle Johnson, had left their home in Richland on Oct. 22 to visit relatives in central Oregon.

Wilson and her daughter were last seen Oct. 24 in the same area where their bodies were found, sheriff’s Capt. J.D. Moore said. The pair were on foot when they were spotted by a passing motorist, he said.

The bodies were found about 200 feet off Buckhorn Road, a major secondary road connecting with Oregon Highway 126, in an isolated area several miles northwest of Redmond.

Wilson’s purse, found in the road several days earlier , was turned in to deputies over the weekend.

Moore said it was unclear if Wilson and her daughter had met with foul play.
