Jefferson Street Christian Marks 75th Anniversary

The members of Jefferson Street Christian Church will celebrate 75 years of worship in their current building at 1201 W. Spofford with a special worship service at 11 a.m. Sunday.

All current and past members of the church are invited to attend, and share memories and photos of the church during the service, which is expected to be lengthy.

Refreshments will be served following the service and many historical records and photos will be on display.

Harvest dinner at Westminster

Westminster Presbyterian Church, 2705 W. Boone, will serve its annual harvest dinner Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m. The cost is $7 for adults and $5 for children ages 5 to 12. Children under the age of 5 are free.

Youth fundraiser Saturday

The youth of Messiah Lutheran Church, 4202 N. Belt, will put on a spaghetti dinner Saturday from 5:30 to 7 p.m. to raise money for youth events. The cost is $3 for adults and $2 for children ages 12 and under.

Fall festival at St. Francis

St. Francis of Assisi Church, 1104 W. Heroy, will host its Fall Festival and Bazaar Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The bazaar will feature baked goods, crafts, plants, candy, games and more.

A beer garden will be open from 3 to 8 p.m. to those over the age of 21 only. Food will be served.

Holiday bazaars at several churches

St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 1620 N. Monroe, will feature lots of handmade gifts and goodies at its holiday bazaar Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Lunch will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The cost is $5 for adults and $2.50 for children under the age of 10. Pie and coffee will be available for $1.75 per person.

Trinity United Methodist Church will host a bazaar today from 4:30 to 7 p.m. featuring crafts, plants and other hand-made items. A turkey dinner will be served from 5 to 7 p.m. The cost of the dinner is $6.50 for adults, $3.50 for children ages 6 to 12, and children under 6 are free.

Fowler United Methodist Church, 3928 N. Howard, will host its annual bazaar Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The bazaar will feature candy, baked goods, jewelry, Christmas gifts, crafts and books.

Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost is $4 per person.
