Gold From Fillings Stolen From Dentist

From Staff And Wire Reports

Scraps of gold taken from old fillings were among the items stolen from a dentist’s office in one of two burglaries reported Monday at medical businesses.

Thieves also took cash, a blood pressure cuff and two bottles of mouth rinse during a weekend burglary at Associated Dentists of Coeur d’Alene on Lincoln Way, according to a police report.

Several cabinets and drawers also were opened, but nothing else appeared to have been taken. An office employee found an open window and unlocked door when she arrived at work Monday morning, the report said.

Cash and postage stamps were the only items reported missing from North Idaho Cancer Center, also broken into over the weekend.

Several file cabinets also had been rifled through. Police found no signs of forced entry at the Ironwood Drive business, according to a police report.

An oxygen bottle and carrier belonging to a Spokane medical supply business also was found in front of Ironwood Medical Supply and Oxygen.
