Teen May Have Been Stabbed

From Staff And Wire Reports

Coeur d’Alene police are investigating a report that a teenager may have been stabbed Thursday night at a Lake City High School dance.

Terrance Roberts, 18, was treated at Kootenai Medical Center for cuts to his arm and hip and released.

Roberts told police he was standing in a doorway waiting to get into the dance when he felt a sting on his right forearm. Roberts turned to walk outside and felt a pain in his hip, according to the police report.

A friend drove Roberts to the hospital where they called police.

Lake City Principal John Brumley, who attended the dance, said administrators and teachers saw no disturbances at the dance, nor did students report seeing a stabbing.

Capt. Carl Bergh said police are investigating the incident as a stabbing, but have not determined how Roberts was cut.

No one reported witnessing the incident. , DataTimes
