During the briefing, the council will consider a $70,212 amendment to the $209,369 contract with Coyote Corp. of Spokane to build a hazardous waste collection center at the waste-to-energy incinerator.
Spokane County commissioners
Tuesday, 9 a.m. briefing, county courthouse, 1116 W. Broadway Ave.
2 p.m. weekly meeting for nonhearing items, public works building, 1026 W. Broadway 5 p.m. weekly hearings, public works building
Among other business at the 2 p.m. meeting, commissioners are scheduled to decide whether to enroll a Deer Park golf course in the open spaces program from tax benefits and whether to allow an Alton’s Tires store on land that isn’t zoned for businesses.
Spokane Hearing Examiner
Tuesday, 3 p.m. special meeting, council chambers

The hearing examiner will consider issuing a shorelines permit to CH2M Hill to build the Lincoln Street bridge.
Spokane Transit Authority
Tuesday, 6-8 p.m., Northeast Community Center, 4001 N. Cook St.
STA staff will answer questions and take comments about proposed route changes.
Spokane County Hearing Examiner
Wednesday, 9 a.m., public works building
At 9 a.m., hearing examiner Mike Dempsey will consider a Liberty Lake resident’s request to allow a building within 8 inches of a private road easement, rather than the 35 feet required by county code. At 10:30 a.m., Dempsey will consider changing the zoning to allow broader commercial uses of land at 1421 N. Mullan Road. At 1:30 p.m., Dempsey will hear a request from Acme Materials Inc., which wants to open a sand pit on 78 acres east of Mead.
