Body Found In Burned Car Identified

From Staff

Investigators have identified a body found last week in a burned car north of Newman Lake as that of a Spokane Valley man, sheriff’s deputies said.

Victor Lee Glen Driver, 19, was identified through dental records after an autopsy was performed Friday, deputies said.

A pair of horseback riders discovered Driver’s car and body April 13. The car had been driven up a dirt road off Thompson Creek Road, then was turned around and went down an embankment before hitting a tree.

An investigation into the fire and circumstances of Driver’s death continues.
