Snow Interrupts Search For Aircraft

From Staff And Wire Reports

Idaho searchers looking for an aircraft missing since late Saturday were forced to call off their search due to snowy conditions.

Scott Carruthers, an air traffic controller at the Magic Valley Regional Airport, said the plane was last reported in the vicinity of Burley. The plane dropped off radar screens sometime late Saturday while flying between Caldwell and Ogden, Utah.

The plane is believed to be a Piper Tomahawk, a small two-seater training aircraft.
