Keough Wants To Hold Her District 1 Position

From Staff And Wire Reports

Shawn Keough will run for reelection to the Idaho State Senate from District 1, she said this week.

During her first term, Keough says she co-sponsored legislation cutting interest rates for school district bonds.

Her other accomplishments have included helping to make area transportation projects a priority, getting a new judge for North Idaho, and getting tax relief.

Keough is a member of the Agricultural Affairs, Commerce, Human Resources, and Education committees. She was first elected in 1996.

“I would like to continue my work as an effective representative for North Idaho while continuing to be accessible to the citizens of District 1,” Keough said.

Keough is a member of the Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce and Idaho Women in Timber Association.
