Forum To Be Held For Candidates

Parent and teacher organizations here are having a public forum for school board candidates Monday night.

Incumbent Kevin Schneidmiller, chairman of the board, is facing Richard Wheeler in the Zone 2 race. Incumbent Richard Wallace is facing Ted Corder and Dave Paul in Zone 3.

In the past school year, the school board has dealt with controversial topics like teaching creation and a bond issue to build a new high school.

City Administrator Jim Hammond will start the forum by asking prepared questions to all candidates. Questions from the audience will follow.

The forum will begin at 7 p.m. in the Post Falls High School cafeteria. The election will take place May 19. Patrons can call the school district administration office at 773-1658 to learn where they vote.
