Free fishing days

Free fishing days scheduled next weekend in Washington and Idaho are perfect for introducing the sport to friends who might otherwise shy away from modest resident fishing fees.

They ‘re also a great opportunity to try an out-of-state fishing hole before plunking down less-than-modest nonresident fishing fees.

Free Fishing Day in Idaho is next Saturday. Washington will double the pleasure with free-fishing weekend, next Saturday and Sunday.

Basic state license fees are waived on those days, but all other regulations apply, including catch limits and special angling gear restrictions.
