Attendance Mandatory At New Year’S Eve Bash

Student athletes at Great Falls High School were forced to party on New Year’s Eve - unless they had a note from their parents.

For the eighth consecutive year, coaches required athletes to attend a New Year’s celebration in the school fieldhouse from 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.

“This gives them something to do on a night they might get in trouble, and it shows them they can have fun without getting in trouble,” boys basketball coach Larry Lucero said.
