Odessa ruined Valley Christian’s shot at a perfect Bi-County League record last year.

VC served payback on Saturday night, as Jared Evans scored 13 points in the fourth quarter to rally the Panthers over visiting Odessa 56-49.

The Panthers have won 20 of 21 games since last year’s league loss to Odessa. The teams will meet again Feb. 5 at Odessa.

Brent Decker hit three 3-pointers in the second quarter for a narrow VC lead.

Odessa charged ahead in the third quarter, but couldn’t overcome a 2-to-1 ratio in turnovers.

Craig Elder of ACH hit one free throw with 3 seconds left to force OT. The Warriors made up an eight-point deficit in the final 5 minutes of regulation. The Falcons made 18 of 25 free throws in regulation but 3 of 8 in OT.
