A 33-year-old man escaped with only a scalp wound when he was shot in the head late Saturday afternoon, according to Spokane police.

The 33-year-old victim thought he was struck in the head by a neighbor in the 1900 block of West 26th, police said.

The victim was taken to a local hospital, where a doctor found an entry and exit wound in his scalp, police said. The wound was not life-threatening, and the man was treated and released.

Police have the name of the suspect and are continuing their investigation. The pair had been arguing when the man was shot.
