Minnie B. Flinn Spokane
Minnie Blanche (Thorpe) Flinn celebrates her 100th birthday today.
Flinn, born Jan. 4, 1899, in Cardston, Alberta, has lived in the Inland Northwest for 70 years, and in Spokane for 59 years.
Minnie Thorpe married Clarence Flinn in 1930. He died in 1972.
She taught school in Canada, and worked at the former Woolworth’s Department Store in Spokane for 20 years.
Flinn is the mother of Marilynn Thompson and William Flinn, both of Spokane. She has eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She attributes her long life to faith in God, and laughter and good times with friends and family.
