Hillyard Bank Robber Escapes On Bicycle

A man robbed a U.S. Bank branch in Hillyard on Monday and then fled on a 10-speed bicycle.

Around 12:30 p.m., the man walked into the bank at 5101 N. Market and demanded money. He didn’t show a weapon and walked out after getting some cash, Spokane police said.

The man was described as 5 feet 8 inches tall, white and of average build. He is believed to be in his late 20s.

Anyone with information on this crime is asked to call Crime Check at 456-2233.
