Neighborhood Meetings
The Balboa Neighborhood Council will meet tonight at 7 at Balboa Elementary School, 3010 W. Holyoke Ave.
Members will discuss goals of the neighborhood, membership, activity services for the elderly and the area traffic problem. All are welcome to attend.
The Chief Garry Park, Bemiss and Logan neighborhood councils have been reviewing the goals and policies of Spokane Horizons.
Interested residents, property owners and businesses located in these neighborhoods are invited to attend the final meeting of the series at COPS Logan, 1030 N. Hamilton, Friday from 1-3 p.m. The topic will be the environment.

The Community Assembly will meet Friday from 4-6 p.m. in the council briefing center in City Hall.
On the agenda are presentations about the sale of the Northpointe Sports Complex and the Community Emergency Response Training program, as well as committee reports regarding leadership and ethics.
The Bemiss Neighborhood Council will meet Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Bemiss Elementary School library, 2323 E. Bridgeport. No agenda information was available.
The Nevada Lidgerwood Neighborhood Council will meet Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the council office/COPS Shop, 4705 N. Addison.
On the agenda is a discussion of the Nevada/Cozza barrier. City officials will present the results of a traffic study done on the area, and offer options.
Parks Department Director Ange Taylor is scheduled to give a presentation on the upcoming sale of the Northpointe Sports Complex. Members will also review information from the neighborhood’s comprehensive plan subcommittee.
The West Central Neighborhood Council will meet Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the West Central Community Center, 1603 N. Belt.
Mayor John Talbott is scheduled to attend and give an address on the state of the city.
The North Hill Neighborhood Council will meet Jan. 14 at 7 p.m. at Willard Elementary School, 500 W. Longfellow.
Suzanne Tresko from Code Enforcement is scheduled to speak about junk vehicles, land use violations, vehicle parking problems and other neighborhood nuisances.
