Allegro Presenting Festival Of Lights

The Christmas season is not officially over until Epiphany, an occasion many churches celebrate with the Festival of Lights. Spokane’s early music series Allegro will present its Festival of Lights concert at The Met tonight with a program 18th-century Italian music.

Oboists David Dutton and Keith Thomas will perform concertos by Antonio Vivaldi and Tommaso Albinoni, soprano Tamara Schupman will sing a solo motet by Vivaldi, and the Spokane Area Children’s Chorus will sing Vivaldi’s “Gloria” with Schupman and alto JoAnne Bouma as soloists.

Verne Windham will discuss the evening’s music in a pre-concert talk beginning at 7:15 p.m., the concert begins at 8 p.m.

Tickets range from $8 to $18 and are available through G&B Select-a-Seat, 325-SEAT.
