Deliveries of motor homes rose 13.3 percent in the first half of last year, while shipments of tow along RVs were up 13.9 percent, according to the Recreation Vehicle Industry Association.

A particularly hot item is the expandable RV, which contains sliding compartments that turn into extra rooms when parked.
