Four Life Terms Given For Murder Of Family

Alex Baranyi was sentenced Friday to four life terms in the January 1997 slayings of a Bellevue family.

Baranyi, 19, told King County Superior Court Judge Michael Spearman that he had nothing to say before Spearman sentenced him to prison. Baranyi has no possibility of parole.

Baranyi was convicted last November in the killings of Bill and Rose Wilson and their daughters, Kimberly, 20, and Julia, 17. The elder Wilsons and Julia were beaten, strangled or stabbed to death in their home after Kimberly had been strangled in a nearby park.

Authorities said Baranyi and another teenager, David Anderson, killed the Wilsons for the thrill of it.

Jury selection begins next week in the trial of Anderson, who also is charged with four counts of aggravated murder.
