Shotgun Blast Damages Door At School

A shotgun blast ripped into a door at a middle school during an overnight act of vandalism discovered Thursday by a janitor.

Dozens of pellets hit a door on the north side of Woodland Middle School at 2101 St. Michelle, according to a Coeur d’Alene police report.

Damage to the school was estimated at $300. Police suspect the vandalism occurred between 10:30 p.m. Wednesday and 6 a.m. Thursday.
