She’Ll Soon Go From Tired Of Waiting To Just Plain Tired

Oh, baby.

A friend was driving to work when she heard an old Kinks song on the radio. It was the one with the lyrics, “So tired, tired of waiting, tired of waiting for you.”

She smiled.

“After 8-1/2 months of pregnancy, it was kind of fun to hear,” she said.

But his young son must not have heard correctly. Because soon the puzzled boy asked why someone would have a sign that said “Stupid Driver.”

No comment.

* Just wondering: What’s the secret to keeping track of who in your extended family is not speaking to whom?

* “Speed III”: A friend was on an STA bus when the driver announced that he was popping into a store for a minute. Then he got off.

But we’re happy to report that, in the driver’s absence, the passengers resisted the urge to climb behind the wheel and roar off on a madcap, freewheeling adventure.
