Rene Marie Cathey became the bride of Nicholes James Pavlin in an Aug. 22 ceremony at The Gathering Place.

The bride is the daughter of Kathy Cathey, Newman Lake, and Roger Cathey, Boise. David and Jodee Pavlin, Spokane, are the parents of the groom.

A reception followed at the wedding site. The couple are living in La Mesa where Nicholas is serving in the Navy.
