Gsl Wrestlers Take Home 4 Titles

University had a pair of individual champions but Great Falls ran away with the team title at the Jug Beck Rocky Mountain Classic wrestling tournament Saturday in Missoula.

Great Falls easily outdistanced runner-up Ronan 207-175.5. Gonzaga Prep (104) finished fourth, while University (94.5) was sixth. Clarkston (64.5) placed 11th, while Ferris (45) was 13th in the 19-team tourney.

U-Hi’s Reggie Lee improved his record to 21-0 in winning the title in the 171-pound weight class. Lee won a narrow 3-2 decision over Greater Spokane League rival Kyle Gleason of Gonzaga Prep.

U-Hi’s Conor Jordan (140 pounds) upped his season record to 22-1 with a 13-5 major decision over Great Falls’ Jeremy Lombardo in the championship match. Jordan pinned or scored a major decision over all four of his opponents.

G-Prep’s Travis Pascoe stayed unbeaten (22-0) in the 189-pound division en route to a 13-4 major decision over Butte’s Tucker Downey in the title match.

Ferris’ Aaron Sedler (21-1) picked up the fourth individual title for the GSL with a 7-3 decision over Hellgate’s John Winters in the heavyweight division.
