A Spokane man was arrested early Saturday after he drove his car into a police cruiser.

According to police, Troy L. Curtiss drove head-on into the patrol car when an officer tried to stop him for speeding on the 3200 block of East 27th shortly before 1 a.m. Police say he then tried to flee in the car, but was trapped on Stone Street, a dead-end road.

Neither the officer nor Curtiss was injured. Police did not report the extent of damage to the cars.

Curtiss faces charges of attempting to elude police, assault with a vehicle, driving under the influence of alcohol and driving with a suspended license.
