Dynamic Acoustic Duo Tingstad And Rumbel To Perform At The Met
The contemporary duo Tingstad and Rumbel will again take the stage at The Met for a performance at 7:30 p.m. Friday. Eric Tingstad has combined his guitar with Nancy Rumbel’s oboe to produce 10 albums in their 14 years together.
The latest, “American Acoustic,” is a double disc set of live performances. Their previous release, “Pastorale,” was rated No. 1 for three months in New Age Voice.
The two have brought their acoustic style to Spokane several times over the years. They are known both for their elaborate and experimental ensemble work and the simplicity of guitar and woodwinds in the Scot-Irish tradition.
Friday’s performance is a benefit for the Spokane Food Bank and part of the Debut Performing Arts Series at The Met. Those attending are asked to bring a can of food for the food bank.
Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students and seniors, available at G&B Select-a-Seat outlets or call (800) 325-SEAT.
