Dear Heloise: After my grandchildren were grown, my daughter took all of their stuffed animals, cut the seam in the bottom, took out the old stuffing and washed and dried them. They were flat, so they took little room to store.

When she needed them for grandchildren, she put in fresh new stuffing, and they were ready to go. - Rita Gelinas, Holton, Kan.

Dear Heloise: I enjoy your column so much I decided to send you one of my new discoveries.

When it came time to clean my miniblinds, I decided to hang them on the clothesline and, instead of just spraying with water, I attached a bottle used to spray liquid fertilizer to the hose with liquid detergent. After I soaped them down, I removed the bottle and rinsed them with clear water.
