Kids’ Musician To Appear At Living Word

Kids’ musician Alan Root will be performing and speaking this week at the Living Word Christian Center at 57th and Freya.

Root will teach a class for families at 7 p.m. today. He will also perform a family concert at 7 p.m. Saturday.

Root, based in Nashville, Tenn., performs for kids around the country.

He has produced music for McDonald’s, General Mills, Oscar Meyer and Dr. Suess.

His past releases include “There’s a World in My Brain,” “Popcorn and PJ’s” and “Beyond the Farthest Star.”
