A potentially dangerous sex offender has moved from downtown to West Central Spokane.

Randy N. Linerud, 39, is living at a residence in the 1900 block of West Mallon.

He was released from Airway Heights Correctional Center in November after serving nearly nine years on King County convictions for first-degree rape, third-degree rape and attempted second-degree rape.

Linerud’s victims have been adult women. He typically offers a woman a ride, drives her to a secluded area and rapes her, Department of Corrections officials said.

Linerud is an untreated sex offender, characterized as extremely violent and at high-risk to reoffend. He will be under Department of Corrections supervision for the next two years.

He is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall, 200 pounds with brown hair, brown eyes and tattoos of a skull and crossbones on his arms.
