Spotlight: Chicks-N-Sticks

World-class downhill skiers will be donating their coaching skills for a daylong, women-only ski clinic Tuesday at 49 Degrees North.

The third annual Chicks-n-Sticks ski day will feature:

Jeff Pickering, a coach with the U.S. Women’s Alpine Ski Team,

Amy Tan, a Crystal Mountain coach and expert in boot fitting,

Cindy Patterson from Mount Hood, Ski magazine’s instructor of the year,

Suzie Luby, Olympic downhill silver medalist from Spokane.

The $85 fee covers coaching as well as breakfast, lunch, wine and hors d’oeuvres, child care, lift tickets and a T-shirt.

Proceeds benefit the Jimmy Huega Ski Express for Multiple Sclerosis and the 49 Degrees North ski team. Info: Judy Imhoff in Spokane, 448-5731.
