Cops Southeast Invites Fax Links

A second Spokane police substation has set up a fax network to pass along information about crime and community events to interested residents.

COPS Southeast is inviting businesses and citizens in the Manito and Lincoln Heights neighborhoods to join its network.

Information about crime prevention, wanted felons, the release of registered sex offenders and other tidbits are transmitted to network members daily.

The service is free.

Last May, the downtown substation started a similar network with about 40 members. It now has more than 150 participants.

People interested in joining the networks can call their substation for more information.

The neighborhood resource officers are the contacts: Rick Albin downtown at 625-3351. His fax number is 625-4124. The southeast contact is Dan Bunn at 625-3383. His fax number is 625-3327.
