Karlee Poirier captured her second all-around title of the season Wednesday night to lead second-place Central Valley to victory in a five-team Greater Spokane League gymnastics meet at CV.

Poirier scored 35.25 to beat teammate Lindsay Zacher (34.40) as the Bears went on to post their highest point total of the season, 172.50 points.

University was second with 163.75, followed by Mead (158.70), Mt. Spokane (151.75) and Lewis and Clark (131.45).

The Bears got wins from Poirier on the bars and in the floor exercise. Emily Roberts captured first on the beam.

The only event CV didn’t win was the vault, won by University standout Kelly Roberts, still unable to competing in the all-around because of an injury.

U-Hi’s Alisa Brandle, third in the all-around at 34.15, took a hard fall on her dismount from the uneven bars. She was still able to complete the meet.
