Jen Clark scored a game-high 21 points and Sara Harchuck added 14 for Community Colleges of Spokane Wednesday night as the Sasquatch handed Big Bend its first NWAACC East Division women’s basketball loss of the season 59-42 at Moses Lake.

CCS (18-4, 4-2) scored 19 points off turnovers and outrebounded Big Bend (15-7, 5-1) 42-26. Clark led all rebounders with 12.

“That’s a big win for us,” said Sasquatch coach Bruce Johnson. “Jen Clark had a good start for us. It was her best game in a while, and it was good to see.”

Big Bend, which shot just 34.6 percent (18 of 52) from the field, was paced by Katie Steidel, who scored 19 points.

Community Colleges of Spokane got 17 points from Nick Bemis and 16 from Jon Chatfield, but it wasn’t enough to keep the visiting Sasquatch from drop ping an 81-74 NWAACC East Division decision to Big Bend.

The Sasquatch (8-11, 1-5) also got 13 points from James Kiger and 11 from Chris Allen, but never recovered after falling behind the Vikings (16-3, 4-2) 46-36 at intermission.
