City Brass Expected At Manito Meeting
The Manito Neighborhood Council tonight will play host to a city dream team of sorts.
Top executives from City Hall are expected to appear before the neighbors at their monthly gathering at 7 p.m. in Wilson Elementary School’s library.
City Manager Bill Pupo will lead the team, which is supposed to include public safety, finance, parks and community development heads.
Residents will get a chance to ask questions, although the guests are expected to take up only the first hour of the meeting.
Linda Yeomans, a leader of the neighborhood council, said additional agenda items include nomination of officers for 1999.
Betsy Godlewski of the neighborhood is preparing an update on progress in the reconstruction of Wilson Elementary School.
Another discussion will center around the neighborhood’s reaction to a proposed new comprehensive plan under the Growth Management Act. Also, the group will try to decide what issues and topics it wants to pursue in the coming year, Yeomans said.
Upcoming monthly meeting dates are Feb. 25, March 25, April 22 and May 27. All of the meetings will be at 7 p.m. in the Wilson library.
