Man Robs Bank Inside Grocery Store

Police are searching for a man who robbed a bank branch Tuesday evening inside a grocery store.

The robber entered the Inland Northwest Bank branch inside Super 1 Foods about 4:45 p.m., said Post Falls police Lt. Dick Halligan.

Witnesses described the robber as white, in his late 20s or early 30s, with sandy blond hair. He was 5 feet 9 inches tall and 140 to 160 pounds, and wore blue jeans, a green Army-style jacket with the letters “CC” on the back and a green baseball cap.

Police believe the man may have left the bank branch at 805 E. Polston Ave. in a blue 1980s General Motors car with Washington license plates.

Post Falls police detectives and FBI agents are investigating the robbery. Anyone with information about the hold-up is asked to call Halligan at 773-3517.
