Neighborhood Meetings

The Whitman Neighborhood Council will have its monthly meeting Monday at 7 p.m. at Whitman Elementary School, 5400 N. Helena.

June Shapiro, director of human resources for the City of Spokane is scheduled to speak about free medical insurance for children, and James Slavin was invited to speak about the Victory Outreach Program. All are welcome to attend.

The Balboa Neighborhood Council will meet Feb. 4 at 7 p.m. at Balboa Elementary School, 3010 W. Holyoke.

Spokane Police Chief Alan Chertok is scheduled to hold a question-andanswer session, and the planning and traffic committees will give reports.
