Teen Suspected Of Robbing Store Two Times

A teenage boy was arrested last weekend after apparently robbing the same South Side convenience store twice in two days.

The boy and another teenager walked into the 7-Eleven store at 510 S. Thor on Saturday. The clerk warned them against trying to buy beer, but they each grabbed 12- and 18-packs of beer and pushed the clerk out of the way as they fled, said police spokesman Dick Cottam.

Officers followed tracks in the snow to the backyard of a house in the 600 block of South Ralph.

The footprints led to the back door, and the resident gave officers permission to look for the suspects.

Two 17-year-olds inside the home matched the descriptions given by the clerk, and police found containers of beer hidden in a closet.

Both boys were arrested on suspicion of second-degree robbery and booked into the Juvenile Detention Center.

The clerk believed one of the two had robbed the same store about 24 hours earlier. He said it was the same boy who had taken beer Friday and run west on Fifth Avenue.

Robber threatens to shoot

Police are looking for a man who took wine from the Circle K store at 302 S. Altamont Saturday morning.

A store clerk told officers a young man walked into the wine display. The clerk heard the clinking of bottles, and the man walked out.

The clerk said he stopped the man outside the door and asked him for the wine. The man hit the clerk’s arm and threatened to shoot him, then left, said Cottam.

The robber was described as black, about 20 years old, around 6 feet tall and 200 pounds with a gray-black jacket and blue jeans.

Brothers arrested; meth seized

A pair of brothers with long histories of criminal convictions were arrested last week after investigators learned that men were selling methamphetamine out of a West Plains motel.

Daniel T. and Jerry L. McIntosh were booked into jail Jan. 20 after detectives with the Spokane Regional Drug Task Force served a search warrant and found a half-ounce of the drug ready for sale.

Daniel McIntosh, 46, was booked on suspicion of possession with intent to deliver, delivery, and conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance.

He has a history of drug convictions dating back to October 1987, said Sheriff’s Department spokesman Dave Reagan.

Jerry McIntosh, 40, was booked on suspicion of possession with intent to deliver and conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance.

He has served time for convictions of first-degree rape, first-degree robbery, failure to appear and probation violations.

The arrests followed a two-day task force investigation initiated by a citizen’s tip.
