UI’S Fraternity Council Names New Leaders

The University of Idaho Interfraternity Council has elected North Idaho students to serve as officers in 1999.

Dave Nelson, a communications major from Coeur d’Alene, will serve as vice president, and Andy Herrmann, Sandpoint, will serve as treasurer and is a major in visual communications.

The council is the governing body of the 17 national fraternities represented on the UI campus.

Army Pvt. Adam L. Moore, son of Ray and Terry Moore of Rathdrum, Idaho, recently arrived for duty as an infantryman at Fort Bragg, N.C.

Moore, a 1998 Lakeland High School graduate, is assigned to the 82nd Airborne Division.

Army Pvt. Timothy P. Brandon, son of Richard and Anita Brandon of Hayden, Idaho, has graduated from one-station unit training at the Army Infantry School, Fort Benning, Ga.

Brandon received training in drill and ceremonies, physical fitness, first aid, combat operations, field communications, tactics, weaponry and survival during a nuclear, biological or chemical attack and also was instructed to qualify as a lightweapons infantryman and an indirect fire crewman assigned to a rifle or mortar squad.
