Octoberfest To Aid Historical Group

The fifth annual Octoberfest celebration and fund-raiser for the Post Falls Historical Society will take place on Thursday.

A new pavilion bandshell built by the Post Falls Lion’s Club will host the event from 5 to 8 p.m. The menu will include barbecued bratwurst on a bun with sauerkraut, condiments, hot potato salad and apple strudel. Coffee and pop are included. The band Phase II will play music for listening or polka dancing.

The historical society anticipates a large crowd. All proceeds from the event will go to historical preservation projects and the operation of the Post Falls Historical Society’s museum at Fifth Avenue and Frederick Street.
