Singer, Storyteller Portrays Paul Robeson

A Tacoma singer and storyteller will perform today at Eastern Washington University as black pioneer Paul Robeson.

Eastern alum Ted Hutchinson performs around the state as Robeson. The early Hollywood pioneer performed in “Showboat” and became known as a human rights activist who never compromised his political beliefs.

Hutchinson’s performance begins at noon in Showalter Auditorium on the EWU campus in Cheney.
