Police Seek Man In Restaurant Robbery

Police are looking for a man who robbed a Coeur d’Alene restaurant Tuesday.

A restaurant worker told police she was working at the counter of Dianne’s Pantry, at 410 E. Harrison Ave., around 11:30 a.m.

A man placed an order to go, then pushed a plastic bag toward her and said, “I’m going to tell you once. Give me the money in the till,” according to police reports.

The man then pointed to his stomach area, indicating he had a weapon. The woman told police she never saw a weapon, but gave him cash and checks from the cash register.

Witnesses said he left on a silver 10-speed bicycle and headed south on Fourth Avenue.

The robber was described as about 30 years old, 5-foot-5, 180 pounds with a short blond hair and sideburns. He was wearing a green hat, a green hooded sweat shirt and green pants. Anyone with more information is asked to call the Coeur d’Alene police at 769-2320.
