Ric Gendron’S Works Displayed At Crawford

The Crawford Gallery in Deer Park is displaying the work of Native American artist Ric Gendron of Spokane this month.

Gendron’s expressionistic paintings explore the relationships between people - including himself and his own heritage, himself and those who have influenced his life and his work.

Also on display this month are the wood carvings of Loon Lake’s Licia Stragis and photographs by Denny Lippert.

A public reception for the artists will be held tonight from 5 to 7 p.m.

Regular gallery hours are Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday from noon to 4 p.m.

The Crawford Gallery is located in the Deer Park Community Center complex in the lower level of City Hall, 316 E. Crawford.

Also, the Deer Park Arts Commission is searching for artists interested in displaying their work in the Crawford Gallery. Nov. 15 is the submission deadline for shows in March through May of 2000.

Exhibitor application guidelines may be obtained by calling the Deer Park Arts Commission, 276-8884.
