Christian Band Avalon Plays Concert At Pullman Church

The Christian band Avalon will perform in concert at 7 p.m. Saturday at Living Faith Fellowship Church, 1035 S. Grand, in Pullman. Guest performers Anointed and Nichole Nordeman will also perform.

Avalon collected the 1998 Dove Award for new artist of the year and took home three more Doves in 1999, including pop/contemporary song of the year and inspirational song of the year. Their recording career began with a self-titled album in 1996 and their third, titled “In a Different Life,” was released this year.

Anointed has gathered a following since 1993 when it released the first of four albums. The group has received two Grammy nominations and took home four Dove Awards.

“Wide Eyed,” Nordeman’s debut album released last year, has spawned two No. 1 hits. She performed at the 1999 Dove Awards and received a nomination for new artist of the year.

Tickets are $15 in advance, available through G&B (325-SEAT), through the church (509-334-1035), or through area Christian supply stores. Tickets are $18 at the door.
