Learn To Merengue At Latin Dance Festival

The Latin Salsa Dance Festival being held today from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. will feature Caribbean music, authentic spicy Caribbean food and Latin dancing.

Those who attend the festival at the Avalon Dance Club, 117 E. Boone, will learn the simple dance steps of salsa and merengue, watch dance performances and listen to the music of the 13-piece Latin salsa band Nueva Era Orchestra.

The event is sponsored by the Gonzaga University office of the associate academic vice president for diversity, the Gonzaga Unity House and the Black Student Union in conjunction with the Avalon Dance Studio.

Tickets for this family event are $10 per person.
