Tips Needed On Sex Offenders

Spokane police appealed Friday for information about two Level 3 sex offenders who failed to report their addresses as required by law.

One is Jonathan Lester Cox, 24, who raped a 9-year-old girl in 1992 and has three convictions. He is described as white, 5 feet 10, 180 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes.

The other is Ameer Bear Shamsiddeen, 20. Shamsiddeen has five convictions, including first-degree child rape and first-degree child molestation involving 8- and 10-year-old girls. When he was 9, Shamsiddeen was found guilty of exposing himself indecently to a child.

He is described as black, 6 feet 2, 210 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information about either of the fugitives is asked to call Crime Check at 456-2233.
