Exhibit Being Held At Holman Gardens

“Seasons of Change” exhibit will feature recent watercolors by Maxine Davidson from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday at the social room at Holman Gardens Retirement Community, 12912 E. 12th.

The show is sponsored by the Senior Homes Foundation of Eastern Washington, and a portion of the proceeds from the exhibit will benefit the foundation.

Auditions

The Valley Repertory Theatre will hold auditions for “Alone Together,” at 6 today, and 7 p.m. Monday at the theater on the corner of Sprague and Pines.

Two women and four men, 20 to 60 years old, are needed for the adult comedy about empty nesters. Production crew members are also needed. For more information, call the theater at 448-4044.

Classes

* Wendy Franklund Miller will conduct a master class in Image Making in Handmade Paper from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and next Sunday at the Spokane Art School, 920 N. Howard.

Papermaking as a medium is the focus of the hands-on workshop. Miller will teach image making using a stencil technique, and a photoscreen technique with an emphasis on color and design.

The course is $100, including lab fees. To register, call the school at 328-0900.

* Workshops for students will be offered Monday at the Spokane Art School, 920 N. Howard, during Spokane School District 81’s Teacher Planning Day.

Classes for students in grades one to three include patterned paper fish design, geometric canvas painting, and plater mask design. Students in grades four to six can work on positive/negative canvas painting, embossed metal designs on wood, and batik banners.

Each workshop is $14 or $35 for the whole day. Call the school at 328-0900 for information.
