Public Hearing To Take Comments On Pipeline
A public hearing will be held Nov. 8 in Wallace to take comments on changes to a gas pipeline that runs from Billings, Mont., to Moses Lake.
A 60-mile section of pipe was abandoned in 1995. To resurrect the line, Yellowstone Pipe Line Co. wants to build a new section through Montana’s Ninemile Valley. The U.S. Forest Service wants to route the pipe along Interstate 90 from Missoula to Kingston. A separate permit from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will also be considered at the hearing. The hearing is at 7 p.m. at Wallace High School. Verbal and written comments will be accepted.
